Eats, Chutes and Leaves
This section is in the spirit of all Victor Meldrews of the English language,
inspired by Lynne Truss's book, Eats, Shoots and Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation. Annoying, amusing and downright irritating aspects of the misuse of English (in the opinions of the contributors, at least), will be discussed here. If you have any verifiable examples, please contribute to this section, and earn yourself a niche in literary nit-picker's heaven.
"It's a strange world of language in which skating on thin ice can get you into hot water."
Franklin P. Jones.
"Learning preserves the errors of the past, as well as its wisdom. For this reason, dictionaries are public dangers, although they are necessities."
Alfred North Whitehead.
